We are a non-profit organization, which makes us different from other medical institutions. Our patients receive special care and, with the financial support of our donors, we are able to provide a broader spectrum of investigations and consultations. As a result we can monitor the annual rates of acute and chronic diseases, as well as the differentiation by age in terms of diseases caused by torture or other forms of violence more accurately. In addition, medicines are provided free of charge, which offers great support to our patients, taking into consideration the socio-economic situation in the country and the high costs for medicines. Our beneficiaries don’t have to wait for hours hoping to get a medical consultation, because they can call us to get an appointment before coming to the centre. We respect our patients and treat them with the attention and care they deserve.
